Sister Whittaker’s 4th Week at the MTC

week_four_mtc Szia everyone!!

It has been a hard week but incredible! The MTC has been great. I can’t believe that in just three days I hit my half-way mark and then I am off to Hungary. The Hungarian language isn’t getting easier but I believe that if I’m doing everything I can, by being obedient, diligent and having A LOT of faith, then He will bless me on his own time and fill my mouth with Hungarian right when I need it. I have a new companion! Her name is Sister Bedgisoff, she is a solo missionary and wow, I am so lucky to have her because she is an absolute sweetheart. You are all probably wondering why she is a “solo” missionary. That means that she is the only sister going to that mission. She really is incredible and I’m lucky enough to be her other half. I’m still with my great trio, but only in class. I sure love them too :)

week_four_mtc2This week we had the privilege to hear from Sheri Dew AND Elder Ballard. I have never been so spiritually fed in my life! Sheri Dew had an amazing talk and she spoke with so much power and confidence. Here are a few incredible things she mentioned: Our Heavenly Father isn’t going to move the mountain, but he will help us climb it. I absolutely loved that, and I know it to be true! I’ve really seen that throughout my mission and I’ve had to truly rely on the Lord. A mission isn’t an easy thing. I’m not kidding! You come to know Him and love him with all of your heart because if you think you can do this on your own talents and abilities, you’re completely wrong! You can do nothing without his help. Sheri Dew said, “Obedience brings forth blessings but exact obedience brings miracles.” WOW. Being exactly obedient is extremely difficult, but it is so worth it in the end. Because I’ve been trying to be exactly obedient, I haven’t chewed gum once! Now that is a miracle in itself!

Elder Ballard was wonderful. Not only did his message pertain to missionaries but also to life after the mission. He said, “When you step into the noisy world, keep your eyes on the prophet because he will not and cannot lead you astray.” I love that.

I want you all to know that I love you and I’m praying for you. Thank you for your continuous love and support, you will never know how much it means!

Love, Whittaker Nover!
