Hello Friends and Family,

Our week couldn’t have been better, especially to end with a baptism. Our investigator Helga, who we have been teaching for months now went into the waters and it was amazing. It was a day I will never forget. There really is nothing better, than to see the ones you love, change their lives and follow the path back towards our Heavenly Father. It’s just a bit a heaven.

We had a great week full of goodbyes and a few bittersweet moments. Words can’t describe how much I will miss Hungary and the people here that I love so much. It has been a wonderful journey and sadly, my mission has come to an end. But through it all it has been the hardest, best, miracle filled year and a half of my life.

My mission has been the most important thing that so far has happened in my life and has brought me so many blessings that I would not have received if I hadn’t have served a mission and the ones we love. It has been hardwork, but everyday in everyway, it just gets better. You see lives change and Christ Atonement work in others lives. Not only in others, but you begin to see that change in yourself. Christ can make so much more out of you than you can of yourself.

What an adventure it has been! I love this Gospel. I love my Savior. I know that through living the Gospel, we can find purpose in our life and experience a kind of happiness we can’t comprehend. The Gospel is so simple and perfect in every way. I know that we have a loving father in heaven who adores us, and all He wants is for us to be happy in this life. We can get down on our knees and pour out our hearts and he will listen.

There were times when everything seemed to be going wrong and I lost hope, Christ was always there, to lift my burdens and carry me the rest of the way. Even on some of the darkest, hardest days, I always found light at the end of the tunnel and I experienced true happiness. I loved my mission, and words can’t describe how I truly feel, but I know I can say to my Heavenly Father, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” I have done my very best.

I want to thank you all for your love and support throughout my mission. I can’t tell you the strength and hope I recieved from your prayers and emails. Thank you for everything, and for being with me every step of the way. I will see you all very soon. God bless you all!

As for my friends in Hungary, keep going, don’t lose hope and never forget who you are and why you are here. I love you, and I am praying for you always. I will be back soon! Isten áldjon titeket.

Sok Szeretettel, Whittaker Nővér
