Sister Whittaker’s 66th Week

Sziasztok Testvéreim,

It has been a week full of miracles, splits, doggings, rakókrumpli, more rakókrumpli and a little bit of heartbreak. Starting off with the good news, we went on splits this week with the Pécsi sisters, Sister Widtfelt and Sister Levenan. We had all kinds of fun, a day full of programs, getting ice cream breaks and even getting a let in while tracting. Sister Sholly and I found new people off the street and set up a few programs for this next week. We are so blessed here in Kecskemét. Now, for the sad news. Our family who had a baptism date this coming month called us and told us they don’t want to meet, nor get baptized. It came as a complete surprise. We went to go visit our other investigator with a baptism date and they confessed they haven’t been reading or praying for months. There are times like these when your heart just breaks. You give these people your whole heart and soul, love them, pray for them everyday and think of ways how you can make their life better. Sometimes, they just aren’t willing to commit right now. During this week, one of my favorite quotes came to mind from Jeffery R. Holland. “Dont you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon, some come late and some don’t come until heaven. But for those who embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ they come. It will be alright in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come.”

I do know that good things are coming and we have already seen many blessings this week. I am so grateful for opposition because without it we would never progress. I am grateful for my loving Savior, who loved us enough to die for us. That with all my weaknesses and shortcomings, He still loves me.

I hope you all have a wonderful week. Don’t forget to do something nice for someone else. Don’t you quit. Keep trusting in our Heavenly Father. Everything will be alright.

I love you all.

Sok szeretettel, Whittaker Nővér

SHOUTOUT to my best friend, Kat Coates who got married this week. I love you.
